Supplemental Resource for GRADE 12 World of Religions: A Canadian Perspective (2022)
I served as an Islamic Advisor/Contributor for Manitoba Education in developing A Supplemental Resource for Grade 12: World of Religions – A Canadian Perspective. My role included reviewing content on Islam to ensure accuracy, clarity, and respectful representation. I contributed to the development of culturally responsive and inclusive curriculum materials that deepen students' understanding of Islam, religious diversity, and intercultural respect in K–12 education.

This book introduces young learners to foundational concepts in Islamic studies through simple, age-appropriate language. It supports children’s understanding of faith, values, identity, and daily practices in a clear and accessible way.
The book also contributes to inclusiveness by helping students from diverse backgrounds learn about Islam with respect and openness. It encourages cultural understanding, supports positive identity development for Muslim children, and promotes appreciation of religious diversity in educational and community settings.

Through stories, puzzles, games, interviews, and features on the Arabic language, science, nature, and world cultures, the magazine supported Arabic literacy, active learning, curiosity, and positive identity development. It also contributed to inclusive, culturally responsive education by encouraging broader appreciation of cultural and religious diversity.
